Janitor (Former Employee) – Greater Sudbury, ON – 9 March 2015
A typical night at Laurentian University was cleaning 2 buildings in a matter of 7 hours. I learned from here that sometimes you have to make compromises to complete a more important job then complete a lesser, and that sometimes a time-frame just isn't long enough. Management was very poor. The staff was constantly dropping, either because management would give them jobs you were unable to finish, or they would be flat-out abusive and yell at you. They also did not lead through example, they only sat back and criticized. Co-Workers were fine, but you never really saw more than a few of them, except at lunch time. The hardest part of the job was completing everything. Cleaning an entire library in under 4 hours. The most enjoyable part of the job was the pay, and it wasn't even that substantial for an overnight job, really.
Brainless job with 10-6am hours, can listen to music.
National Corporate Housekeeping (Former Employee) – Sudbury – 2 October 2013
It's a suitable job if you don't want anything physically or mentally demanding. No experience is required for this position, so it is a good starting point if you are new to a city or new to working. The employees sometimes get personal with their affairs, however that is an experience in almost every work place. The best benefit is you're aloud to listen to music while you work, however the hardest part is the boredom from not really having to think about what you're doing. But if you like having a lot of thinking time, this is right for you.
