Core Supervisor – Canadian Central Core
(Brantford, Ontario)

Position Purpose:

Directs and oversees the daily activities relating to core centre warehouse. Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing, in a timely manner, the daily activities of receiving, packaging, warranty, surplus returns, shipping maintenance etc. and implementing programs that ensure the needs of all functions such as training, safety, security and housekeeping are met.

Duties:

o Plan and manage all warehouse activities in order to meet or exceed Brantford/Core Centre objectives
o Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with all Navistar and governmental regulations
o Maintain or exceed Quality standards pertaining to the warehouse
o Maintain or exceed performance metrics
o Responsible for training of new employees and the ongoing training of incumbents to ensure quality and productivity goals are met or exceeded
o Ability to focus on customer needs and customer service while ensuring that all Parts Group and Navistar policies and procedures are met.
o Identify, through a proactive approach, potential cost-saving and efficiency gain opportunities to improve overall site operating metrics
o Responsible for developing and maintaining a high level employee morale and dedication to serving customers. Conducts themselves and performs all activities and accountabilities in a manner that is consistent with respect for people values

Your qualifications include:

  • Grade 12 diploma (must)
  • College diploma or University Degree in Business Mgmt or Logistics or 5 years related work experience
  • Minimum 2 years warehouse supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in quality, inventory control and safety
  • Very customer conscious
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to inspire above average employee performance while showing respect for those employees
  • Positive energetic person capable of facilitating change
