We are a fast growing company located in North Vancouver and specialized in the wholesale trading and exporting of Softwood, Hardwood Lumber and Panels with sales primarily into Latin America, and currently looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as Logistics Coordinator, to help us organize all freight movement, import-export procedures and customs requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bilingual English-Spanish (Spanish native preferred)
- At least 2 years related experience in logistics: handling freight via truckload, railcars and/or ocean containers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and a positive "yes we can" attitude
- Excellent knowledge of import/export procedures, documents and customs requirements and regulations
- Effective geographical knowledge of Canada/USA/Mexico
- Ability to negotiate freight rates with carriers and customers in order to remain competitive in the market
- Proactive attitude: able to coordinate shipments and continuously follow up with trucking companies, railroads and shipping lines
- Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box
- Strong customer service orientation
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy, and able to accomplish many tasks in short time frames
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Self-starter; able to work in a team and individually
- Ability to handle large volumes of work and meet tight deadlines with high level of accuracy
- Highly dependable. Arrive to work, on-time, every day, and finish duties on time

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Sourcing carrier options to optimize freight movement throughout the Americas
- Provide all documentation required with shipment and imports
- Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate with different mills to ensure shipments are arriving on time
- Monitor freight moving and update status of shipments
- Provide market pricing and conditions to internal sales staff
- Communicate dispatch information and help answer customer inquiries
- Manage all related administrative duties

Working hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: Immediately
