CSR (Former Employee) – Orangeville, ON – 22 March 2016
Branch manager steal hours. Say they are working when they are not. You may end up working 16 hr days because your manager decided not to show up. You don't get paid for those 16 hr days, manager lies said it never happened. Manager can go into the computer system and change your hours and theirs to make it look like they were there and your the lier. Manager disrespects employees by telling clients how aweful their employees are. For what little pay you make you are expected to be on call all the time. Not allowed to leave secured area or take breaks. If your ever sick, manager calls and calls all day long because they don't believe you. Calls and hangs up, calls and hangs up. Will continue to call until you finally pick up. Unstable place to work.
Long hours with no pay, disrepected, very unhealthy place to work
Branch Manager (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 17 February 2016
A backward organization/ company where there are far too many long term entitled DM's, AVP's, & RVP's. The USA head office has no idea what happens in Canada, so when they arrive it's "all for show factor"....lots of favoritism and nepotism among the ranks. Smart, strong DM's either quit or are forced to leave, leaving the branches with second string DM's who are "the chosen lifers". Long days, no breaks, collection calls are a MUST or you are berated, a hostile working environment where the BM is just a title not a real function.
a reasonable pension plan.
long hours, no recognition, no DM support when you really need it.
District Manager (Former Employee) – Alberta – 2 February 2016
It was a very rewarding experience - for the first 2 years. Constant changes in Upper Levels and Company Direction made it exceptionally difficult to execute a consistent plan for success. Budgets were often released 1 or more months into the year, "Incentive Contests" put extra pressure on the few Performers to pick up the slack from those who weren't executing (often with the lower-performers therefore winning the incentives). Inconsistent training led to many good workers being terminated due to mistakes; despite trying to cut labour costs there is very little actions taken to reduce turnover consistently. Salaries varied wildly between individuals working at the same level, often starting wage and raises were arbitrary and not followed a consistent plan.
Branch Manager (Former Employee) – Ontario – 20 December 2015
Former branch manager. Worst job I've ever had. Dms place blame for fraud on uneducated csrs. Customers can be violent a lot of fraud and very bad work environment. A lot of favouritism from dms and upper management

SENIOR CSR WORKING MORETHAN 10 YEARS (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 24 May 2015
Violent customers, very low salary, managers and district managers are rude. Almost everyday you will encounter CRIMINALS like FRAUDSTERS, MONEY LAUNDERERS, CRACKED HEADS. NO SUPPORT FROM UPPER MANAGEMENT ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY. NO BREAKS ALWAYS / MOSTLY WORKING ONLY BY YOURSELF LIKE YOU WERE DETAINED IN PRISON OR RATHER ALCATRAZ. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.
Nothing to say here no pros at all bad company my friend
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Burlington, Ontario – 5 November 2013
Company is totally focused to give the best Customer Service experience. Training and security are top priorities. Dedicated to giving the best customer service experience. The company is always evolving. Hardest part for me was closing the store. Most enjoyable is the atmosphere which is upbeat and emphatic in every sense. Management and coworkers are attentive and willing to adjust schedules to fit your lifestyle. I learned a different type of banking, that works for the fast paced companies needing their cheques cashed now, not in 5 to 10 days.
Happy atmosphere and management who listen. Great security.
Hours vary from store to store. Example4 1/2 hr shift, can become a 6 hr shift.
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) – Winnipeg, MB – 8 September 2013
A typical day at wok is opening the store in the morning, dual-custodying the cash in store, and helping customers as they come in. In-between helping customers, you make collection calls and courtesy calls. When your co-worker comes on, you again custody all cash and print out all of your reports for the day. The hardest part of the job is being alone all day, and since only one person works at a time you only have a handful of co-workers. What this job taught be though is independent time-management, strong cash-handling skills, and how to cross-sell to clients and customers with a range of products.
Slavery from Managers, District Managers to top brass management alre all Devils
Customer Service Rep. (Current Employee) – Ontario, Downtown – 6 January 2013
I am currently working as a CSR in the Downtown area in Ontario, i guess the only advise i can share with you is STAY away from this company. Some Branch Managers and District Managers will punish you to work like you never get exhausted. Poor ledearship, no problem to National Mart Company breaking labour laws (no breaks, even if you worked straight 16hrs in a shift would never pay you in accordance with esa standards, From branch managers to district managers they are EVIL!!! Head office staff would love to give tihS to their store staff (csr), they can do whatever they want due to the fact this company doesn't have union to bargain the needs and wants of their employees (grievances!!!). Expect to work by your self everyday and fight for your dear life against their rude customers. In the event of customer complaint, expect some tihS from your DIPUTS District Manager especially nowadays Great and respected DM's are no longer working in this company so, you will hear some DIPUTS sermons from a High School Graduate DM.
In order to gain respect, National Money Mart BM's, DM's to upper lever Management, You must Practice what you Preach!!! You TOIDI upper level management must learn how to work on Till your forecasted targets are only imaginary be realistic!!! This company is full of cross selling diputS products to diputS individual. Following their Robotic citoidi GUEST sequence will make your day very pathetic!!!
diputS Bosses No support from upper management level No problem breaking labour laws Prepare for panic attack Rude customers Will make your life miserable Will leadmore... you to become hateful and the end of your shift YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO RESPECT YOUR SELF... :( I will end my connection from this company soon... but need to find more ways to get them...
p.s. pls. read in reverse toidi, diputS as it is not allowed to post the natural and norm ways to describe my company National Money Mart.
