Violent customers, very low salary, managers and district managers are rude. Almost everyday you will encounter CRIMINALS like FRAUDSTERS, MONEY LAUNDERERS, CRACKED HEADS. NO SUPPORT FROM UPPER MANAGEMENT ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY. NO BREAKS ALWAYS / MOSTLY WORKING ONLY BY YOURSELF LIKE YOU WERE DETAINED IN PRISON OR RATHER ALCATRAZ. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Pros: happy atmosphere and management who listen. great security.
Cons: hours vary from store to store. example4 1/2 hr shift, can become a 6 hr shift.
Company is totally focused to give the best Customer Service experience. Training and security are top priorities. Dedicated to giving the best customer service experience. The company is always evolving. Hardest part for me was closing the store. Most enjoyable is the atmosphere which is upbeat and emphatic in every sense. Management and coworkers are attentive and willing to adjust schedules to fit your lifestyle. I learned a different type of banking, that works for the fast paced companies needing their cheques cashed now, not in 5 to 10 days.

Pros: flexible dress code, friendly/laid-back atmosphere
Cons: working alone, cannot promise full-time hours
A typical day at wok is opening the store in the morning, dual-custodying the cash in store, and helping customers as they come in. In-between helping customers, you make collection calls and courtesy calls. When your co-worker comes on, you again custody all cash and print out all of your reports for the day.
The hardest part of the job is being alone all day, and since only one person works at a time you only have a handful of co-workers.
What this job taught be though is independent time-management, strong cash-handling skills, and how to cross-sell to clients and customers with a range of products.

Cons: some managers are lack of experience poor accounting and management background
I am currently working as a CSR in the Downtown area in Ontario, i guess the only advise i can share with you is STAY away from this company. Some Branch Managers and District Managers will punish you to work like you never get exhausted. Poor ledearship, no problem to National Mart Company breaking labour laws (no breaks, even if you worked straight 16hrs in a shift would never pay you in accordance with esa standards, From branch managers to district managers they are EVIL!!! Head office staff would love to give tihS to their store staff (csr), they can do whatever they want due to the fact this company doesn't have union to bargain the needs and wants of their employees (grievances!!!). Expect to work by your self everyday and fight for your dear life against their rude customers. In the event of customer complaint, expect some tihS from your DIPUTS District Manager especially nowadays Great and respected DM's are no longer working in this company so, you will hear some DIPUTS sermons from a High School Graduate DM.

In order to gain respect, National Money Mart BM's, DM's to upper lever Management, You must Practice what you Preach!!! You TOIDI upper level management must learn how to work on Till your forecasted targets are only imaginary be realistic!!! This company is full of cross selling diputS products to diputS individual. Following their Robotic citoidi GUEST sequence will make your day very pathetic!!!

Will lead you to become hateful
and the end of your shift YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO RESPECT YOUR SELF... :( I will end my connection from this company soon... but need to find more ways to get them...

hardest part was dealing with upset clients who didnt have the money to pay back
