The Nanaimo Community Foundation was founded in 1982. It has more than $9 million in endowed funds, and grants more than $70,000 annually. Our foundations priority is to fund community capital projects. Many of these projects are community wide endeavors that several community organizations participate in. The Nanaimo Community Foundation is proud to play a key role in these projects. Our new Executive Director will be mandated to direct an energetic long-term development campaign, raise the organizations profile in the community, and establish the Nanaimo Community Foundation as a community leader.
The Executive Director will bring enthusiasm, superior organizational and interpersonal skills, along with experience and proven track record in fund development. Post – secondary education and experience in management of a not-for-profit organization would also be an asset. Salary -$35,000 and up based upon qualifications and experience. This position will entail 21 hours per week to start.
