Production Engineer, Calgary AB
Reporting to the Manager, Alberta Business Unit, you will work as part of an active, multi-disciplinary team supporting the Medicine River and Sturgeon Lake assets. You will build and maintain gathering system models and identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities and solutions. You will perform studies on pools to evaluate recompletion, reactivation, and workover opportunities. You will work with Field Operations and Completions to reduce overall well workover costs and facilitate run reviews. You are responsible for downtime and present trends evaluations and recognizing opportunities for improvements to existing production.
You will budget and track asset performance relative to production & operating expense targets. You will be responsible for scoping facilities and tie in projects, and coordinate with Integrity Engineering on project execution. You will travel to field sites on a regular basis. Your responsibilities include having strong communication with the field, various departments within the organization and our industry partners.
To qualify for this position you have attained a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Engineering), with a minimum of five years’ related Canadian production engineering oil and gas experience. Your experience with system modeling will be an asset. You are a leader with excellent communication and negotiation skills, are self-motivated, and have confidence delivering information to influence parties with potentially divergent viewpoints.
