Position Responsibilities:
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the District Human Resource Coordinator is the coordination of personnel for assigned rigs within the district, and to provide general HR support to the district Management team and field employees. This position is also responsible for reception and general administration for the district office

Job Function:

  • Work with Operations to coordinate rig crews and maintain crew rosters
  • Coordinate with Operations for the organization of rig start ups and shut downs
  • Work closely with the Central Recruiter to ensure manpower needs are met and assist with initial screening
  • Administer controlled substance program for field personnel
  • Handle all employee relations for assigned rigs
  • Maintain current HR information system for field personnel
  • Work closely with Training Administrator to ensure all field training requirements are maintained
  • Organize on-site orientations as required
  • Greet customers and employees at front desk
  • Answer phones and forward calls
  • Receive, sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail (including scheduling of couriers)
  • Track and maintain supply room inventory
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Track and maintain visa logs and submit to Finance
  • Track and maintain drivers logs according to government regulations
  • Coordinate hotel and meeting rooms for employees and meetings
  • Contribute to and participate in all HR team initiatives
  • Attend and communicate employment information at local Career Fairs as required
  • Work with other department members to ensure that all positions are filled on a daily basis

Educational Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Human Resource environment particularly with a focus on personnel coordination and recruitment

Experience Required:

  • Must be well organized with ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Able to react to change and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  • Intermediate level computer skills ( proficient in Microsoft Office platform)
  • Previous experience working with HRIS would be an asset
  • Proven customer service skills ( phone and in person)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Work well both individually and as a team
  • Basic knowledge of service rig operations is beneficial
  • Certificate/Diploma in a related field or equivalent education and experience is an asset
  • Some travel may be required
  • Overtime and on call may be required
