Good paying job for an entry level position, but along with cons it wasnt the best place to work
Shipper / Receiver (Former Employee) – Nisku, AB – 23 January 2014
A typical day at work would be sorting through skids and picking eoc local stock pieces for freight, asking the buyers to print rig papers and sort out rig numbers and freight, later in the week we would wrap up full skids and load the trucks later being sent to rigs.
What i learned most is how to complete a given job in a certain amount of time, be ethical, pay attention to detail and always ask as many questions as possible.
Free lunches around holidays, friendly staff
long hours-lots of over time, poor management, some unfriendly staff, unorganised workplace
