Rate of Pay: $ 14.00 – $ 16.00 per hour

Product Knowledge:

  • Learn how to operate every piece of rental equipment and be able to explain its operation to customers

Customer Service:
 Ensure that every customer is treated in the same fair and consistent manner
 Deliver and pick-up all products in a safe manner within the time parameters given by the customer
 Immediately advise your supervisor of all customer complaints
 Assist customers in handling large items
 Must wear the approved Company uniform at all times while on duty.
 Personal grooming and hygiene must be kept at the highest level

Equipment Inventory Management:

  • Ensure that the equipment being picked-up is not damaged and that all the appropriate accessories are with the tool
  • Follow all paperwork procedures related to the delivery and pick-up of products for customers
  • Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system


  • Completes all reports related to vehicle usage such as run sheets, inspection reports and maintenance
  • Complete a daily truck inspection at the start of the day and keep it on file
  • Fills the vehicle up with gas at the end of every day
  • Reports any damage or maintenance that has to be done on the vehicle to your supervisor

Store Environment/Equipment (when there is downtime to regular duties):
 Ensure that outgoing rental equipment is operational
 Ensure that equipment returned is still operational and clean
 Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the store
 Cleaning equipment
 Follow company guidelines for the display of rental equipment and merchandise
 Follow company guidelines on servicing equipment
 Ensure all areas outside the store are clean


  • Adhere to all Company safety standards
  • Adhere to any customers safety standards when on-site
  • Use of personal protective equipment as required by the Company is mandatory
  • Reports any workplace hazards and helps to eliminate them
  • Maintains knowledge of relevant legislated standards, such as WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods etc. that impact on the store or position
  • Review and sign-off on any new polices distributed with respect to safety
  • Company vehicles are to be operated in accordance with all Municipal, Provincial and Federal laws
  • Helps promote safety to all Staff, Customers, Suppliers and Contractors
  • Understand their role with respect to Health and Safety (refer to the employee guidelines of health and safety)
  • Attendance is required at any training programs put on by the Company that relate directly to the Health and Safety of the position. In some cases, this will be on the employees own time outside of working hours.

Safety Training Required:
 Orientation
 WHMIS Generic/Specific
 First Aid (where applicable)
 Driver Improvement Course (where applicable)
 Transportation of Dangerous Goods
 Propane ROT (where applicable)
 Natural Gas ROT (where applicable)
 Reach Truck (where applicable)


  • Education: Minimum High School Education
  • Experience: Previous delivery or customer service experience (1 to 3 years)
  • Requirements: Maintain a valid G-class Provincial Driver’s License or better
  • Under the age of 29
  • Hold a non-9 series SIN number
