We are pleased to announce that we have one full time, permanent Production Coordinator position available in Surrey. The hours of work will be from Monday - Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm in our Surrey facility.
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, or his or her designate, the Production Coordinator ensures efficient organization and operation of the warehouse.
1. Oversees all inbound and outbound product
Works with the Supervisor to determine inbound volumes and arrival times, and plans, monitors and adjusts to accommodate and meet client needs.
With the assistance of the Supervisor, monitors to ensure inbound and outbound schedules are maintained and that documentation is accurate for all shipments, complete with daily manifesting needs.
2. Maintains organization of floor grids
Gathers information from Transportation Providers and Customer Services Reps, and works with the Supervisor to effectively plan the warehouse floor footprint and prioritize tasks.
Controls and directs the use of the dock grids, and works closely with the Supervisor to accommodate the needs. Responsible for all record keeping, updating, and tracking of grid action. Recommends the use of storage trailers and satellite facilities as required.
Ensures that goods are located and stored in a safe and efficient manner, and rotated as required. Recommends and coordinates product moves for the Supervisor to schedule and implement.
3. Oversees shipping and receipt breakout
Directs efforts of assigned ICT's and ensures SOP and safety procedures are followed. Ensures all client routing guides for outbound shipments are followed.
4. Work involves responsibility for assigning, checking and maintaining work flow and standards in a work unit as a group leader while continuing to perform the normal day to day duties of the position.
Ensures that all warehouse SOPs are followed by all employees at all times.
Ensures that goods are received, picked, scanned, packed, and shipped in a safe and efficient manner, and that guidelines for accuracy are maintained.
Acts as the on-site First Aid Attendant, and ensures that all necessary forms are completed correctly and submitted in a timely manner.
Ensures accuracy and participates in counts of goods to meet audit or inventory control requirements.
Monitors inventory of pick boxes, scanning labels, and other supplies, and orders as necessary. Opens and closes the facilities as required and maintains security measures.
Required Skills & Abilities
Basic MS Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
Problems or situations are different and require interpretation. Use judgment to identify the most appropriate solution from several options using prior knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities and objectives are assigned with some freedom for technical or administrative decision making using established practices and procedures. Unusual problems may be discussed with your supervisor or others for clarification.
Decisions have a considerable effect extending to other shifts or departments. Decisions would have limited impact on internal operations, other employees, client services, achievement of objectives or public image.
Physical ability to carry out the duties, including the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc.
Education: Grade 12 education or equivalency.
Supervisory/Management training would be an asset
Experience: 2 years of warehouse experience
2 years of leadership experience
$16.75/hr + depending on experience
