Project: National Research Centre (NRC)
Implementation of a new Web Content Management System (WCMS) using the Web Experience Toolkit distribution of the Drupal 7 open source application, to be used by NRC employees who create and maintain websites and web applications.
The purchase of services to implement a WCMS will help NRC to streamline efforts, reduce duplication, provide a unified approach, save costs, and support and maintain the new corporate-wide intranet environment.
Other objectives include:
Develop a strategic implementation plan that will consist of:
Detailed work plans;
Milestones and Timelines (schedule);
Risk and lessons learned log.
Implement Drupal 7 with customization based on requirements;
Train and transfer knowledge and skills to both the NRC Communications Branch and the NRC web development team as appropriate and provide documentation as required;
Establish and execute migration plans;
Provide additional support as required.
The proposed resource must have at least five (5) years of experience designing web interfaces and web sites.
The proposed resource must demonstrate experience developing accessible and bilingual or multilingual websites compliant with the Government of Canada Web standards and the WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility guidelines.
The proposed resource must have at least one (1) year of experience developing or modifying Drupal themes or sub-themes.
The proposed resource must demonstrate experience creating web pages using the Government of Canada Web Experience Toolkit (WET).
