The Newfoundland and Labrador Housing and Homelessness Network works collaboratively and creatively to end homelessness and ensure housing stability for all.

Responsibilities:
The Administration and Financial Officer is responsible for all NLHHN financials, administrative duties, supporting the Homeless Individuals and Families Information System Project (HIFIS) and support the new NLHHN Training Centre.

Financial Administration
- Oversee and process accounts payable/receivable
- Assist Executive Director in preparing reports and financial information for funding agencies
- Prepare payroll remittances for Revenue Canada
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll for employees (calculate medical deductions, RRSP contributions, etc.)
- Work with auditor to prepare year end reports
- Update accounting/financial files daily and perform banking as needed
- Manage training centre workshop registration and invoicing HIFIS Support
- Organize quarterly activity and financial reports
- Assist in organizing HIFIS training sessions, forums, conference calls and webinars
- Manage financial aspects of the HIFIS project
- Provide administrative support to trainer
- Facilitate the signing of Information Sharing Agreements
- Create and maintain HIFIS users service providers/shelter lists
- Work in partnership with trainer in completing final reports outlining key deliverables as short and long term plans

Logistics Coordination
- Organize and support steering committee/board meetings
- Manage and administer capacity funding for Community Advisory Boards (annual provincial conference, CHRA conferences, professional development, etc.)
- Coordinate accommodations and catering for staff and members' meetings
- Organize the logistics for the annual training sessions

Membership Drive
- Coordinate membership drive, mail outs, and updating of database
- Develop renewal work plan and streamline data entry and payment processes

Administration & Training Centre Co-ordination
- Organize mail merges and mail-outs on behalf of the NLHHN
- Compile NLHHN steering committee/board of directors meeting agendas and minutes
- Order and maintain supplies and stock inventory
- Responsible for receptionist duties and incoming general emails
- Support special events by preparing nametags, materials, gift bags, seating cards, etc.
- Track employee leave
- Other duties as assigned at discretion of executive director

Qualifications & Experience
- Business Administration diploma with accounting as a major component of studies
- 3 to 5 years Simply Accounting experience (SAGE ACCPAC)
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Report writing, minute taking and administration experience
- Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
- Good analytical skills, as well as initiative and integrity
