Northern International is a privately held company that designs, manufactures and markets, and sells a comprehensive array of innovative and top quality products aimed at the home décor and home improvement markets.

We are currently in search of a Sales Coordinator (aka Assistant Product Manager) with a "can-do" and "will-do" attitude to assist the Product Managers with communications with the overseas vendors/ factories to ensure that our many products get manufactured according to the required specifications and in the time constraints provided. This person will also assist Product Managers and the Sales Support department by completing and transmitting sales presentations and other sales-oriented documents.

Our candidate of choice must have experience with:

Ensure our Chinese factories understand what we have asked them to manufacture and will manufacture according to our requested specs
Experience dealing with Chinese factories on a daily basis preferably in the manufacturing of newly designed or customized products
Product spec sheets (ensure they are complete, accurate with weights, dimensions, etc.)
Tracking development, delivery dates, and production status
Managing product samples with Chinese factories
Assisting Product Manager and Sales Support department with the preparation of sales and marketing presentations and in the product development process
Compiling market/Internet competitive shopping and product information
Handling special projects and general administrative support

In order to be successful in this position, you will need to have:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position working with a Product Manager, Buyer or Production Coordinator
Experience working and communicating with overseas factories (Chinese factories an added asset)
Experience working with consumer retail goods
Excellent computer knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
Proactive with an ability to work autonomously when required
Must work well under pressure and have the ability and character to meet tight deadlines
Must have exceptional organizational skills
Must possess strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow-up
Ability to work in a team environment
Bilingual (English/French) with excellent written and verbal communication (Mandarin an asset but not required)
Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
