Systems support specialist performs some or all of the following duties:

·Performing server upgrades and migrations
·Communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine, document problems experienced and implement solutions
·Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
·Provide support and training to users in response to identified difficulties
·Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
·Maintain, troubleshoot and resolve issues for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
·Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications
·Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
·Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
·Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
·Provide Blackberry support

Job Requirements:
·This is a Tier 3 position with 2-3 years solid experience in troubleshooting & resolving systems and network issues
·Completion of a college program in computer science or network administration

·A+, Network+, MCSE and MCTS
·Experience troubleshooting VOIP phone system an asset
·Own vehicle with clean driving record

·$20/hr and is based on experience
