Reports to: Controller

To provide administrative support to Controller, provide reception for telephone calls and walk-in clientele, shipping and purchasing.

1. Maintain Finished Goods (FG) inventory, update for production and sales
2. Ensure all shipping arrangements, paperwork and schedules are in order, follow-up as required
3. Maintain shipping schedule
4. Maintain Order Database
5. Replenish safety, first aid and production supplies as required to prevent stock out situations
6. Plant reception: phone, Visitors, Contractors

Authority & Approvals:

  • Approve expenditures up to $250 on supplies and $1200 on trucking
  • Direct (Material Handler) MH - Yard, loading of trucks, FG organization, order picking and consolidation

1. Answer phone and transfer or take message as required and deliver to appropriate person
2. Update order database with new orders
3. Enter daily production data into system, produce production reports
4. Enter production data, shipping and physical counts into FG Inventory system
5. Arrange trucking for delivery of orders, update Sales Person and shipping schedule with detail; obtain approval as required
6. Review stock levels, maintain inventory system and re-order supplies; obtain approval as required
7. Reception of all visitors, Customers and contractors to plant; ensure sign-in / out completed
8. Service walk-in Customer inquiries; show products, provide pricing, take orders and payments, arrange loading of Customer vehicle or arrange contract delivery
9. Other duties as directed

Salary commensurate with experience

Post secondary education an asset but not required, previous Sales experience would be an asset
