The Accounting Manager is responsible for budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, year end, audit, cash management, insurance and oversight of the financial analysis, accounts payable, procurement and payroll functions. As the Deputy Treasurer for the Municipality of Port Hope, in the absence of the Director of Finance and as required, the Accounting Manager shall perform the statutory duties of the Municipal Treasurer, as outlined in the Municipal Act.

Qualificiations: University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, Commerce, or equivalent combination of College and specialized training (e.g. Municipal Finance); four to five years of Accounting experience working in a computerized accounting setting; Municipal experience preferred; Professional Accounting Designation preferred (CGA, CMA or similar).
