There is no organization. Managements' strategy for dealing with high volume? Let the workers deal with it. Aisle numbers and bin locations are useless since product is located everywhere. When a pallet comes of production it can be slotted anywhere in the building. Some racks are not bolted down. Some people have been at the same job for 30 years.

The warehouses are poorly run, unsafe racking not bolted down and even dangerous incidents have occurred in warehouses and management has still not changed anything because the focus on productivity and profit is too great. Management puts stress on zero incidents but "incidents" are classified as shipping incorrect product , being late, and employees missing days etc... Employees are stressed out and worried about their jobs on a daily basis as employees are giving no unpaid time off for sick time or medical emergencies. If an unpaid day off is taken, employees are suspended without pay for their absences. Co-workers are mostly nice and good to work with but the culture of this company encourages employees to backstab and sell each other out to advance within the company or look good to management because of the unrealistic expectations that management has set in terms of productivity and daily tasks.

They are a very productive workforce but don't have the most efficient technology systems and processes in place. Business is booming almost always as they handle a diverse group of clients. You have to be careful on the warehouse floor because some of the longer serving staff have become complacent with old safety standards. For example, a clamp truck carrying a double stack of newsprint rolls weighs a combined weight of 19,000 lbs. and can travel at speeds up to 25km/hr. Needless to say, this can do some serious damage if it were to hit anything. Safety was always my main concern when working there. Secondly, was whether I would get out on time at the end of my shift. It's a busy, busy place, but that is what I found most enjoyable. Oh, and the place is very profitable, so getting bonuses is a nice perk.

A list of MTE Logistix's priorities in order: 1. Above all else - productivity 2. Management giving employees grief over what they deem to be low productivity 3. Gossiping, yes gossiping about co-workers. Even on other shifts 4. And finally, safety
The supervisor on my shift has two golden boy employees that were told information that was none of their business. It happened constantly and seemed to be acceptable and normal to everyone else.
The pay and benefits are good but it's amazing how much turnover there is. It's definitely not a great job. There is a LOT of heavy lifting and when OT is needed, it's mandatory.

What a terrible place to work! It is so unorganized, Management doesnt care about the employees who are there working day in and day out. They have a safety manual that doesnt even get applied to the warehouse floor. I have witnessed so many near misses and no one gets repremanded for anything. No one gets trained properly, no one listens to anyone except to gossip. It's just such a stressful place to be. One day someone is going to wind up dead and thats gonna be what it takes for some action to have things change

A company with great growth potential but too focused on micromanagement and inexistent succession plan. The opportunities of advancement are directly subjective to one of the top manager's empiric criteria; which means someone will advance within the company only if such manager “thinks” the candidate can handle the job, instead of encouraging people to apply for it and go through the whole screening process in order to determine his/her previous experience, set of skills, and qualifications. Some shifts are overloaded of work; for instance, there is a high pressure to earn impossible speeds to realize the daily tasks in order to finish them before the end of the shift. Their technology system is very obsolete, they use more than one system to control the inventory and most inventory movements are done manually, which represents a high risk for human error; however, ZERO mistakes are tolerated.
Overall pad pay for the amount of work.
Work load so heavy that most of the time is impossible to take breaks
