This place is fun because of the people that work there. Management and overall atmosphere can be a real problem. Jasper is a beautiful place to live in.

Housekeeping (Former Employee) –  Jasper, AB3 January 2018
housekeeping is a pretty tough job for everyone, but if you work on a friendly environment place, the word tough changes to time managing. you just have to keep up on the amount of time has given to you. they will give you lots and lots of pointers how to make your cleaning rooms more faster and efficient. hardest part of this job is probably cleaning up a suite room, its biggest than a regular room and the amount of time you spend to each suite room sometimes can be longer than usual. the most enjoyable part of this job is having to clean up rooms that has tips, it motivates you eve more tha you already are to do your job with pride and more will to clean it
Pros
respectable break time
Cons
cleaning up more rooms when someone calls sick.

A very accepting and friendly workplace, with great supervisors/managers who try to be as understanding and clear towards their staff as possible.
Housekeeping (Current Employee) –  Jasper, AB2 January 2018
I have been working at MPL for just about one year now. It has been a very fulfilling experience with lots of learning, group effort, and accomplishments.
Pros
Staff accommodation, staff lunches, staff get togethers and parties, medical benefits and travel.
Cons
Winter hours can be shorter, but they try as much as possible to give us other tasks to do so we can balance our hours per week.

Housekeeping (Former Employee) –  Jasper, AB3 November 2017
was a gorgeous hotel, with classic fittings and decor. Staff were so friendly. Breakfast was amazing and good value for money and they made sure we got quick service in order to catch your bus tours as well. The location is great - totally a lovely walk into town and views to the Rocky Mountains. Clean room and public areas all really clean and light. Rooms a great size. It felt like a home away from home.

Food and Beverage Server (Former Employee) –  Jasper, AB19 January 2015
This was the worst company i have ever worked for. they do offer a very good deal when it comes to accommodation but this is the only plus of working for this company. The company dosnt care or look out for there staff and are very quick to pass the buck to other people so therefore nothing is ever resolved.

A Very Backwards, confusing company.
Peon (Former Employee) –  Jasper3 February 2013
I had the displeasure of working for this company during a season. From what I saw, and heard was the same story from all their properties. Low pay (Slightly lower than anywhere else in Jasper), Overworked (I was regularly working 50-60 hrs a week, without any help or new staff they hired), management was non-existent (If people got into chummy management roles, they were treated well, over paid for what they did and left the work for people below them), low-morale (We would regularly sit around and talk about how they business was run, where improvements could be made and how to make it enjoyable for people, but NO ONE listened or did anything about it)

The plus side is that you're working and living with people and some could be pretty cool, while others are stirring the pot to get the drama going. And the scenery! You can't ask for a better location than Jasper! It truly is beautiful, too bad this company drove me away from working at this location.
