BC Bearing/Motion Canada, a leading distributor of industrial MRO (maintenance, repair and operation) replacement parts, and the largest Bearing and Power Transmission Company in NA is currently recruiting for a Branch Operations Manager in their Edmonton Branch. This exciting and challenging position reports into the Branch Manager and will be responsible for the day to day operations of the warehouse as well as supervision of the warehouse staff.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales and Customer Service
 Responsible for the overall customer service level of the Branch
 Assists customers with any problems
 Works with suppliers to resolve order problems for customers; manages branch returns to suppliers
 Ensures delivery is timely
 Responsible for freight management; ensures accuracy of outgoing freight
 May be required to be on-call on nights or weekends, depending on need

Operations Management
 Leads staff in refining, developing and implementing Branch programs as needed, in conjunction with Motion Industries' Business Plan
 Implements Operational Excellence New Business Models to achieve Branch objectives
 Uses company operating system to ensure success of Branch
 Adheres to all Motion Industries' compliance standards, including Sales Tax Exemption Certificate and Consignment
 Assists in day-to-day operations of the Branch, to include filling in for Senior Customer Service Representatives, Customer Service Representatives, Clerical, Warehouse, etc. when necessary; answers customer phone calls when Customer Service Representatives are unavailable

Financial Responsibility
 Manages inventory for Branch, including the day-to-day maintenance of inventory levels through replenishing stock to meet annual turn goals
 Ensures all purchasing activities for the Branch are executed per Motion Industries polices and procedures
 Overall responsibility for conducting the annual inventory PI process and ensuring the accuracy of the results
 Implements and maintains pricing per established policies; provides direction on exceptions such as large orders and pricing adjustments
 Ensuring billing accuracy and timeliness
 Oversees all A/P activities, including expense, inventory and freight invoices, and debit memos
 Manages collections process; maintains overall responsibility for outstanding invoices
 Manages internal audit process as necessary
 Responsible for the accurate maintenance of committed and consignment inventory
 Works with Corporate Inventory Control Group on inventory rebalancing
 Works with Corporate Office on A/R and A/P functions
 Maintain all supplier sales support activities at the branch
 Complies with all Motion Industries Operating Policies and Procedures, including all Sarbanes Oxley requirements

People Management
 Provides direct supervision to Senior Customer Service Representatives, Customer Service Representatives, Clerical, Warehouse and Driver employees; completes and communicates performance evaluations and provides coaching, training and guidance; involved with recruiting, hiring, and terminating employees (as relevant); maintains and approves time and attendance records

Training
 Attends training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and development

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Reliability, organization and attention to detail required
 Functional experience required; Industry experience preferred; Sales experience preferred; strong analytical skills required; Financial acumen
 People Leadership experience desired
 Moderate computer skills, including communicating internally and externally via email, performing some financial calculations and generating reports; proficient at using business systems
 Good driving record required
