Morton Jagodich Inc. (MJI) is seeking the services of an experienced piling monitors and geotechnical inspectors. The successful candidate will have past experience with, and the ability to contribute to one or more of the following services including: geotechnical investigations and inspections, piling operations monitoring (driven piles), PDA testing, foundation design and inspection, slope stability analyses, soil improvement, and retaining wall/earthworks design. The candidate will be familiar with construction sites, and inspections in a structural engineering or geotechnical engineering environment.

 Conduct daily monitoring and inspection of pile driving operations. Keep exceptional document control and record keeping as it relates to daily monitoring.
 Communicate with crew foreman/supervisor on progress, document relevant information as required.
 Be familiar with, and interpret piling design and construction information in the field
 Conduct soils inspections and analysis
 Liaise with clients and manage contractors in the field
 Develop solutions to design-based challenges encountered in the field

 Expertise in foundation / geotechnical engineering; specifically the design of helical, driven, and cast-in-place foundation systems
 Experience working on major construction projects
 Experience conducting quality control activities
 Experience in working in the Oil Sands
 OSSA, Ground Disturbance
 Ability to work independent and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
 On-site training available
 Experienced in classification of subsurface geology and conditions
 Advanced Microsoft Office user (Excel, Word, Project, Visio, Powerpoint)
