Pros: there was always something new to learn an do
Cons: sometimes there was the need of extra time, for reasons that were outside and scope and there was nothing we could help on.
I really enjoyed this job, since it combined technology with finance. There was a lot to learn from, and the team was spread all over the world, so I learned a lot from different cultures and made awesome friends.

Great place to work for,
Wealth Management Internship (Former Employee), Santa Barbara, CAOctober 17, 2014
I was instrumental in working with different financial advisors, portfolio associates and vice presidents. My responsibilities were varied and I was exposed to many aspects of the retail brokerage industry.

I was tasked with the full responsibility of the "Know your client" project required by FINRA in which I had to update all financial and investment – more... details for all existing clients , a very important and overwhelming project in which I had to pull data from all of the existing accounts, and send the requested, required information to our clients for eventual input into their account data.

I was also involved in the marketing aspect of the business in which I was involved in the planning and execution of two seminars we conducted with Jackson National Life Insurance Company, entitled "Retirementology". The seminars were to introduce both existing clients and prospects to Annuities.

The job atmosphere here was great, full of communication, understanding and support from the different co-workers. – less

Intern at Morgan Stanley
Intern (Former Employee), Port Charlotte, FLOctober 16, 2014
From January of 2013 to June 2013 I was an intern at Morgan Stanley. As an intern here I had to communicate effectively to clients and my supervisor. I conducted risk assessments using technology to verify if an investment would fit the client’s needs. I was also put in charge of leading several fundraising events for Relay for Life for the company’s – more... office. As a leader I had to be sure that the events ran efficiently and that our goals were met as a group. – less

Stay Away if your smart
VP Financial Advisor (Former Employee), FloridaOctober 16, 2014
Pros: work/life ballace
Cons: about everything else. when you leave they sue you.
The management is profoundly unprofessional. Our territory was rife with scandals both in office and public. If a member of management is talking to you, there is a good chance you are being lied to. The office environment is depressing. If I could change one thing in my life, it would be the regretful decision to work for Morgan Stanley. Good luck – more... if you'd care to go there yourself! – less
