Terrible pay, benefits are ok
Very negative culture. They have values, but they do not practice what they preach.
There is no job security. If you look at your Manager the wrong way he/she will get rid of you. They promise advancement, but never follow through.
Management has very poor leadership skills. There is a lot of Nepotism and favortism, it is openly displayed among the employees.
Workload is hectic and when you ask for a day off, an employee has to literally beg
The good employees there are unhappy and want to leave. The bad employees get special treatment.... i.e. allowed to come in an hour late everyday and go for 7 to 8 smoke breaks per day and leave 45 mins before shift is over.

MNP was a great experience learning how to analyze financial information. The leadership team was great at teaching students how to think critically and provided a very supportive environment to learn. The office always had fun events to break up the day including ping pong and Foosball.

These guys are bad, hire more people than they need and will let them go after busy season. If you're thinking of getting your letters here good luck and make sure you have a backup job post busy season.

Management has little to do with their employees. I worked so hard for this company and have no idea whatsoever why I was dismissed. This has left me with a bad opinion of this company. I had this company on such a pedestal. All I can say is it's awful to be forced to leave without a reason. No one cares if you do a good job going above and beyond.

MNP was a good place to work; however, the workplace culture was disorganized and it did not feel as if employees were all united in a common goal to make the organization better. It was still a well run company but I did not feel like the culture was a good fit for me.

As said by other reviews you are woo'd by salary and the promise of growth. However management keeps you in the dark and surprises you with decisions that directly effect you without warning. There is a lack of direct communication and unless you play their brown nosing game you are branded as not a team player. "Work hard, play hard" is their motto. It's really more like drink and socialize with the right people gets you promoted and advances you.

Pros: - Great co-workers - Flexibility in hours - great learning environment
Cons: - Expected to work overtime all times of the year whenever needed, regardless of prior commitments. - Zero job security. - Do not value employees. If they do not like you, they will not think twice about letting you go. - Poor management. Managing partners do not know how to manage employees, poor social and people skills . - Managers/partners never provide any feedback as to your performance.

Fast paced environment with energetic employees willing to help out where ever they can. During the year and a half I was there I learned a variety of different jobs and procedures. Working with 10 or more Accountants and their students helped me to recognize my time management, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills. Tax time was a very demanding time of the year. I found it to be challenging to be everywhere at once but I thived on the challenge, worked over-time and missed the excitement once it was over.
