wonderful place to work but since you work with convicts it can be a little intimidating - we had to use our personal vehicles to get them to work, however; you were compensated less than the state requirements, had to be at work at 5:30am in the dark during the winter months and very scary. this position was the only position that you could not be late because the laborers would be at the door awaiting entry, which was again not safe. They had an alarm that would alert them if i was more than 15 min late that only happened twice after 90 days but if I had been killed onsite they would not have been notified.
nice work environment, nice compensation package and benefits, great hours
working with criminals, having strangers in my car, the only person that could not be late was the account mgr.
Great shop manager. Low pay and little or no room to advance. Owner would verbally abuse. Money first, safety last. The owner was sometimes interested, but only when it suited him. No benefits. Lots of brass, silica dust.

This is an awesome company with a great bunch of people. I am saddened that I could not work enough hours at this wonderful business to cover my current living expenses. This company cares about the individuals in the Austin community, and tries diligently to establish goodwill among all Austinites.
