Our facility is a long established and successful Brew Pub operation. We are successful in part because we reinvent ourselves and refuse to become stagnant.
Our Food Services Manager will be responsible for the overall management and profitability of the culinary operation while establishing a safe and welcoming environment. The position will also be responsible for assisting in developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations.
Other responsibilities include:
Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to the culinary operation
Planning, directing and implementing food preparation, purchasing and presentation policies and procedures
Training culinary team members in new culinary techniques through formal training sessions and meetings
Participating in trade shows or culinary events when requested and presenting new concepts
The implementation of new programs, projects, F&B outlet openings
Maintaining food and labour costs as per budgetary guidelines and improving profitability
Compiling food product requirements in order to submit purchase orders in a timely manner
Signing off on POs, shipments and invoices
Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (Guests, ownership and employees)
Interviewing, hiring and training and developing kitchen team members in all areas of food operations; planning, assigning, and directing work; managing performance; rewarding and providing feedback to team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ensuring the ongoing practice of safe food handling and preparation techniques
Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Working closely with management to maintain successful Food and Beverage operations Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Exceptional Organizational Skills
Drive to Succeed
Minimum 5 years' experience in culinary management
Demonstrated ability to lead by example
Culinary education required
Red Seal certification preferred
Level 1 and Level 2 Food Safe Certification
Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right License
The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check
Working knowledge of MS Office
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
The hours of work will be based on Guest and business needs.
