We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual interested in working with people in our growing social enterprise. This individual will work alongside MP Maintenance Manager to achieve business growth, train and manage employees, and provide administrative support.

This is a full-time position that is ideal for that individual looking for a unique mix of hands-on management, interaction with customers, and administrative detail.

Interested persons need to be excited about interaction with people in the Downtown Eastside with barriers to traditional employment and is able to model good working habits and pride in a job done right.

  • Small business experience and/or business degree
  • Has characteristics of a mentor—models excellent work habits
  • Possesses skills used in trade type work (i.e. painting, light maintenance, etc.)
  • Show competence when dealing with people in public settings


  • Ensures maintenance employees, associates and interns are equipped to succeed in non-street economy
  • Ensures appropriate care for equipment and enterprise motor pool
  • Ensure appropriate oversight of MP Maintenance technicians and program participants
  • Ensure nothing is done that may injure the mission, values, or integrity of Mission Possible

MP Maintenance Operations:

  • Ensure quality and efficiency, and offer coaching on job sites
  • Supervise MP Maintenance contracts, projects and jobs, and perform work on them as needed
  • Complete new job estimates, coordinate completion of work
  • Keep ongoing inventory of supplies to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Maintain cleanliness of MP Enterprise space
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • In light of job description, develop monthly, semi-yearly, and yearly goals in conversation with Executive Director
  • Assist with estimating, billing and customer follow-up
  • Complete timesheet and review timesheets of direct reports
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Participate in annual performance review process
