- Projects would be assigned by the manager usually by weekly, then it becomes our responsibility to meet the projects requirements

I really enjoyed working in the Ontario Public Service (I was a summer student employee). I was in IT, and so I got to assist government employees from various departments and learn a bit about each. They had many events and charities to get involved in. I have been working at MGS for 4 months as an IT Support Officer and the experience has been great. On a typical work day I usually handle user computer issues and assist in troubleshooting and resolving the issue. Not a single day is repetitive working at MGS because of the exposure to different issues and problems that I come across. Everyday is pretty much the same, and there is not much work to do, but coworkers r nice

The Ministry of Government Services offers a highly structured work environment with definitive roles and many opportunities for career advancement. The organization also manages to strike a healthy work-life balance by promoting fair working hours, performance-based incentives and fun teambuilding activities.

Its a government job, the pay is great, the job is easy and the people are fun. Management is helpful and has an open door policy. There is plenty of room for upward movement and an always challenging work atmosphere. The down side is the Governement does not hire you directly but through 3rd party consulting firms which means they can let you go for – more... sneezing funny. Its difficult to become and actual government employee and your contract expires every 6 to 18 months. – less
