3 CFFTS/ Southport Military Family Service Centre (MFSC) Inc. is currently
seeking a dynamic individual to fill the following position:
Full-time Community Program/ Outreach Coordinator
The successful candidate will wear a huge smile on his/her face everyday; be outgoing,
positive, creative, discreet, enthusiastic and committed to enriching the lives
of Canadian Forces (CF) members and their families. You will be responsible to
the 15 Wing Moose Jaw MFRC Director for the development and management of
community programs/ outreach services for the 3 CFFTS/ CF Units, with the focus
on families. The position entails collaborating with various stakeholders, including
Personnel Support Programs, to research, identify and implement support services
related to the unique stresses associated with the military lifestyle.
This position will provide effective access to and/or facilitation of a diverse range of
community programs, with an emphasis on mental and social health, community
integration and access to effective child and youth resources. This position will also
be the conduit for the effective delivery of specific information and referral services,
including employment and education resources. The successful candidate will
have knowledge of the Canadian Forces lifestyle, community development, relationship
and partnership-building, public relations, marketing, communications, and
have the ability to effectively engage a variety of stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a related undergraduate degree (a
relevant combination of education and related experience may also be considered);
excellent verbal, written, computer and organizational skills; and an understanding
of the military lifestyle. Effective resource management is an essential
component of this position. Travel is required for this position. Fluency in both official
languages is a definite asset.
