Fun place to work, management has a lot to be desired
Sales Supervisor (Former Employee), Houston, TX – September 25, 2012
I enjoyed working here. However, pay is terrible. Management treats you well only if you are selling and putting money in their pocket. If not you are disposable.

Great company; but they do not pay compensate for knowledge
Stylist (Current Employee), Barstow, CA – September 21, 2012
Pros: fashion industry, great products, if the opportunity is present and you know the right people you can move up fairly easily
Cons: coworkers, managements lack of professionalism, lack of compensation for experience and knowledge, schedule is always late and hours are not guaranteed
A typical day consists of jet - setting with clients and maintaining clientele books. In down time it is important to replenish the floor and clean the store. The hardest part of the job is working with people who are disrespectful and do not acknowledge when you are working with a customer.

Working with brand collections
Cashier (Current Employee), Miami, FL – September 21, 2012
Pros: "free wardrobe piece" every month & the discount percent
Cons: management can be unprofessional & request offs
-Ring up customers
-client capture (majority tourist)
-sizing watches
-making sure everything is priced correctly
-visual floor moves

Co workers are great to work with but management can be unprofessional at times.

Productive and fun workplace with great people and staff.
Manager (Current Employee), Los Angeles, CA – September 4, 2012
Pros: commission, sales incentives and discount
A typical workday consists of a balance of working on the sales floor and making sure I had to time recruit, hire, and train my new staff. I've learned more about business and working with so many different personalities from this company and I've also learned a ton about communication and muti-tasking. The hardest part of the job is the mixed hours.

I gained all of my managerial skills at Michael Kors through experience. I started as a sales associate and have been a manager for over a year. Michael Kors is a luxury brand with a high expectation for superior customer service and a strong brand identity.

Stylist (Current Employee), San Francisco, CA – July 22, 2012
This was a great place to work, it provided a great part-time position that helped me get through college. I loved almost everyone that I worked with, but felt that there wasn't enough growth to keep me with the company.

Fast paced, sales oriented.
Shipping and Receiving (Former Employee), Riverhead, NY – June 25, 2012
Pros: strong management team, steady hours.
Cons: compensation, poor communication with corporate.
Miscommunication between corporate and the stores frequently led to extreme surplus of product being sent to a smaller outlet store that can't house that quantity. However in store communication was very important and with a strong management team the store hardly if ever missed sales goals and constantly was doing well above its expected numbers. Organization – more... was vital for this position. With variations in product shipments there were rarely typical days, but allowed you to be creative in finding solutions. – less

Fun enviornment
Sales Associate (Current Employee), Santa Clara, CA – June 12, 2012
A day at work is sales..making sure each client receives a experience full of luxury and knowledge on the creator and the brand, plus products being looked at. Every day I learn something new.

My Co-workers are all good there arent many of us who work there its a pretty small store. So everyone gets along good. The hardest part of my job is making sure – more... to keep moving the whole time when its not as busy because the store is always clean! Most enjoyable is selling someone there 1st M.K. item!

Its just my part time job so I try and make it as fun as I can! – less

Women's Better Sales Intern (Former Employee), New York, NY – April 22, 2012
Michael Kors was a great place to do an internship. I learned how to create style boards, create ATS reports, and read line lists. A typical day was pulling samples, checking in returned samples, dropping off samples, organizing closets, and helping other departments as needed. The hardest part of the job was the NYC commute. The most enjoyable part – more... was shadowing my team and learning about the job they do every day. I also met Michael Kors and other fashion industry related people and made create networking contacts. – less
