Miscommunication between corporate and the stores frequently led to extreme surplus of product being sent to a smaller outlet store that can't house that quantity. However in store communication was very important and with a strong management team the store hardly if ever missed sales goals and constantly was doing well above its expected numbers. My Co-workers are all good there arent many of us who work there its a pretty small store. So everyone gets along good. Michael Kors was a great place to do an internship. I learned how to create style boards, create ATS reports, and read line lists. A typical day was pulling samples, checking in returned samples, dropping off samples, organizing closets, and helping other departments as needed. The hardest part of the job was the NYC commute.
