Department: Finance Supervisor: Controller
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Administrator is responsible for:
1. Accounts Receivable
Identify invoices for collection and contact customers on payment, with follow-up as required
Maintain current list of expected receipts
Assist in preparation of cash forecasts
2. General Ledger
Month-end reconciliation of key GL accounts e.g Accounts Payable/Receivable, Bank, Commissions, etc.
Maintenance/Reconciliation fixed assets log with invoice back-up
Verification of inventory and reconciliation to General Ledger
3. Payroll
Reconciliation of accrued vacation
Back-up for Human Resources for payroll entries
4. Job Costing
Monthly review of material and commission cost of shipped orders with verification/investigation of significant deviation from standard
5. Other
Preparation of key indicators for management meetings
Assist in preparation of forecaster net income, balance sheet and cash flow
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Minimum 2-3 years accounting experience
Proficient knowledge in Office Administration, ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
Working knowledge with computers e.g. MS office software
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
Team player with a can-do, will-do attitude
Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve problems
