As a Global Support Specialist, I worked from Midnight to 8AM fielding emails, phone calls and chat sessions (often simultaneously) from medical professionals around the world. It was interesting to work with IT, R&D, nurses and physicians using our software to conduct clinical trials. Governed by strict company adherence to HIPAA regulations and 21 CFR Part 11, I enjoyed troubleshooting access problems, connectivity issues and general how-to inquiries. Great support from other team members (at shift change only) and management was truly supportive of training endeavors and security concerns. Despite elevated turnaround, this has been a wonderful experience and a perfect introduction to Healthcare IT.
