Less-responsible Management Team, Less work recognition
Management Trainee - Corporate Communication (Former Employee), Bangalore, KA – January 31, 2014
Pros: good salary, free transportation, free food.
Cons: no work-recognition, hard to balance work-personal life, lots of professional politics.
The management team, especially those who report directly to the MD/CEO & the respective HODs are less interested in retaining talent. Work recognition is very hard to achieve, work - pressure is definitely there in any profession but for the employees of this particular organization even if you perform to the occasion you do not receive a pat on your – more... back or a statement like "good job", which lowers the morale of the employee. – less
Apprentice Mechanic (Current Employee), Langley, BC – September 5, 2014
I show up early. I work with a team of 5 other technicians alongside our shop foreman. I'm constantly learning on the job. I try to always be the go-to guy, so I find it easy to get along with everyone. I love what I do. Hardest part of my job is trying to do better than yesterday.
Co-op Automotive Technician Student (Current Employee), Whitby, ON – May 10, 2014
Pros: gaining work exspirece
Cons: un-paid co-op
I am a co-op student at Mercedes-Benz it is a unpaid co-op. A typical day at work is about 6-8 hours from 9am - 5pm. I have learned many skills pertaining to the automotive industry such as, diagnosing vehicle and tricks and tips of the trade. My co-workers are always trying to find many versatile jobs that will give me more experiences in the automotive – more... industry. The hardest part of the job is finding where to be useful because, i am not a license technician their are many task i cannot perform. however this greatly helped me develop my initiative skills because i no longer need to be told what to do i know what i can help with and i also know what needs to be done. The most enjoyable part of my co-op is my co-workers because team work is important and even though they are license technician my co-workers are funny and can still have fun at the work place and at the same time they all trust each other and don't mind asking for help. – less

Service Administrator (Former Employee), Colchester, ENG – April 27, 2014
The average day at work for me would involve a mixture of customers, some less demanding than others. As an aftersales sector, on average we would serve around 30 customers daily, with a further 40-50 customers booking their vehicles in for repair or servicing or asking advice on the repair of their vehicle.
With this, I learnt how to assist customers – more... in achieving their main goal.
The most enjoyable part of the job for me was the incentives that I was offered. The role was very demanding, you worked for what you wanted to earn. – less
Workshop Controller (Current Employee), Birmingham, ENG – March 25, 2014
Pros: staff engagement
Cons: slow process
Busy day to day schedule, slow work process that hinders part of the role. Management are less productive as needed but competent in their jobs. Very much a team atmosphere that most business would benefit from. Staff integrate well between all departments and though sometimes lacking in the goal make up for in determination.
Sales Consultant (Former Employee), Jacksonville, FL – January 29, 2014
Pros: cars cars and cars and if you love to drive.....cars
Cons: frank cuteri
HR should do what they say when someone complains . If you love cars you will enjoy that part of the job. You will drive some of the most expensive cars in the world but when it come to helping the customer they are just as bad as skunk
