Pros: team building activities, great communication, very transparent
Cons: smaller office, therefore no room for advancement
As an Analyst, reporting directly to upper management, I created reporting structure to review sales (including analysis and opportunities), inventory concerns, supply chain issues, etc. Being a smaller office, I was able to operate in many different functions, including forecasting and replenishment, working directly with Wal-Mart or internal employees in various ways to correct any problems, both positive and negative. In my time at Mega, I was able to learn a tremendous amount about the industry and different processes by having great mentors and co-workers. By the end of my time here, I was managing our puzzle business and Sam's account, along with analytical support to all other areas of the business. The most difficult part of working in toys was the constantly changing market, however this was also the most enjoyable part as well. Management was great at Mega from the top to the bottom and I only left due to an opportunity that was presented to advance my career which would not have been an option here with the smaller office.
