Employees make the job
Technical Service (Former Employee), Mounds View, MNFebruary 25, 2014
Pros: teleworking, benefits, stock options
Cons: upper management does not have a clue what people below them do.
Co workers all come together for the common goal. Work/life balance is excellent with teleworking options in some positions. The hardest part of the job is that the company keeps asking for suggestions on how to make your job/workload better but never does anything about it, just continues to lay off staff and add to the existing employees workload. – more... There is no job security with reductions in force happening every year for the past 4 years. – less

Horrible Managment, not able to grow in this company
Accounting (Former Employee), Northride, CaFebruary 22, 2014
Pros: love the mission of the company and helping others.
Cons: managment's culture
Not a fun place to work, no job security, managment does not treat everyone the same. Not a safe place to complain to the managment they will not listen to you if you go to HR person he or she will not listen to you. Managment's, HR, and Supervisor's are too close to each other if you are part of the group you are not welcome. if you leave the company – more... and want to come back you are not able too. Managment's HR and some of the supervisor's created a social life outside the business that the rest of the staff are not included – less

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
Sales Associate- Diabetes Division (Former Employee), San Antonio, TXFebruary 17, 2014
Pros: near impossible to get let go
Cons: pay, growth, management
Management recognizes that there are a multitude of problems, but they are unable (or more likely unwilling) to fix anything. Prepare to be mislead and lied to about advancement. Prepare to be under appreciated and feel like you have no value.

StartRight Representative (Former Employee), Northridge, CAFebruary 17, 2014
This is a great company to start working your way up. In my position, it was a call center to retain customers on insulin pump therapy using our medical device. My co-workers were all amazing and a team player, being very flexible with schedules and helping with coverage. The hardest part of the job was the short breaks and constantly having to code – more... your "status"... overall though it was a great experience. – less

Fun "infusiastic" place to work
Tech Support Specialist/Helpline Representative (Former Employee), San Antonio, TXFebruary 9, 2014
Pros: new building and parking garage, great atmosphere healthcare was also excellent.
Cons: working the night shift would get boring. shift bids werent that great either.
Training was alot of fun and trainers really go indepth. it was an interesting experience all on its own. I learned so much. i went in not knowing anything about diabetes and left an expert. management was friendly and would make an appearance often. not like some places where you see only your supervisor and not really anyone else. The people who work – more... there were also very friendly and enthusiastic about their job. every time there was a holiday of any sorts it was celebrated with tons of food. potlucks and they even put the superbowl on all the tvs for us to watch. they really care about you there. hardest part was the customers actually. Because it was technical support, the customer always assumed that it was the product that was the problem but when you are dealing with diabetes, there are so many factors that alot of the customers didnt want to see. they just saw it as your fault and it wasnt always something that could be fixed over the phone. it was often what they did to control it or messed with buttons because they never recieved the right training for the pump. – less

Was a rewarding and enjoyable place to work until 2013
Hybrid Principle Maintenance Technician (Former Employee), Tempe, AZJanuary 30, 2014
Pros: dedicated production team working to make peoples lives better.
Cons: production cost reductions not shared by management.
Although a great work environment, good benifits, pay and great team mates, the company is struggling with reducing production costs to be more competitive by reducing workforce and expecting remaining workforce to pickup the work load of 2 to 3 layed off employees for each employee still employed and held to goals that are not sustainable because of – more... unpredictable work day work loads. Employees are under constant pressure to do more work to make up for the reduction in workforce. Management has taken all the pleasure out of being a part of a team that make's peoples lives better by making the production work force take the brunt of the responsiblity for reducing production costs. – less

Great mission but difficult to advance skills because the company is resistant to change
Senior Principle Verification Engineer (Current Employee), Fridley, MNJanuary 21, 2014
Pros: working at home, great benefits
Cons: very slow advancement. don't expect any new ideas to be adopted
Company has a great mission statement centered around helping others but because of the culture and regulatory environment, the company is extremely resistant to change and is still using old technologies. Your advancement will based on how well you know the current product, not how good you are in your field. Constant layoffs are poorly executed.
