Medical Office Assistant Instructor (2 years’ experience in the Health Care Field needed) must have medical office assistant diploma/certificate

Medical Reception College Vancouver is expanding.

Medical Reception College Vancouver Campus is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to fill the role of Medical Office Assistant (MOA) Instructor. The MOA Instructor will provide students with the skills needed to succeed in the healthcare industries. Instructional areas include medical office skills and practices such as billing software, medical record maintenance, basic medical tests, medical terminology, medical transcription, pharmacology, clinical procedures, and human anatomy and diseases.

The MOA Instructor is responsible for leveraging their expertise and experience to deliver education services to students through:

Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum
Preparing lesson plans and teaching aids that utilize a variety of teaching methods to promote student success
Monitoring and discussing students’ progress with them individually and as a group
Assigning and posting grades
Participating in the development and evaluation of curriculum and instructional materials

The ideal candidate must possess the following education, experience and competencies:

Degree or Diploma or Certificate from a recognized University or College relating to the area of instruction
Minimum two years of work experience in a related field
Ability to motivate and inspire students, and the ability to develop rapport with a diverse population
Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation
Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of students, to provide feedback and treat students equitably
Instructional/training experience is an asset
