This role is part-time, 24 to 32 hours per week at the Nanaimo Sleep Clinic.
Perform daily administrative duties, including, but not limited to, answering the phone and checking messages, filing, archiving old charts, booking patient appointments, mailings and faxes, greeting patients, and preparing files/patients' charts.
Enter and update patient data into the existing database.
Book patients for sleep studies. Reschedule any no-shows for follow-up appointments.
Inform patients regarding sleep studies, provide patients appropriate literature and address patient questions in a professional manner.
Prepare and send reports and paperwork as needed by the physician or patient.
Keep general supplies stocked and in good order.
Any other administrative duties as assigned.
Some relevant experience working as an Administrator in a professional office setting, preferrably a medical office. Completion of a diploma or certificate in Office Administration is an asset.
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
A professional and mature approach to customer service is a must. Excellent skills in the following areas: written and verbal communication, organization, problem solving and multi-tasking, excellent phone skills.
