Case manager
Case Manager (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON24 July 2017
Everyday tasks were to answer phone calls from program members, assist them to process their claims and call insurance and clinic in order to get paperwork processed quickly and on time. Excellent paid training time which stretches as long as 2 weeks. Management very compassionate. Hardest part of job was sitting all day and the most enjoyable part was the cafeteria which had excellent menu and subsidized pricing.
Pros
Good culture, continuous feedback from upper management, no long hours.
Cons
Must be bilingual, location inconvenient for those living in Toronto

Good work place but bad manager
Quality Specialist (Current Employee) –  Head office24 July 2017
I am in Quality department, working hours are flexible. The company has a great job culture and good salary, many opportunities to grow up in the company but unfortunately manager has poor management, leadership and listening skills, verbally aggressive, moral harassment, does not encourage initiative, does not care about the enormous workload that the employee has. Poor quality system and documentation

Great place to work as a full-time staff with High seniority and the job pays well.
Order Picker (Former Employee) –  Coquitlam, BC17 July 2017
Great place to work when you become full-time staff with *High seniority and the job pays well.

When you are part-time, expect to be called anytime for your shift that you may have signed for, with one day off. Which is a marked improvement from when I had started.

The job itself for the most part is easy with some learning curve here and there with certain positions. This company does give you ample time and opportunity to learn from your mistakes( not all companies are like this).

This new management team is big on enforcing safety procedures and encourages their employees, who want to make the effort to take on new roles in company. And they do acknowledge employees who do their work and sometimes reward them.

However there are a few jealous employees, who are quick to bad mouth the company and their fellow workers. Just completely avoid these people and make minimal contact with them and you should be fine.

Being a union company, some senior employees take advantage of supervisors, standing around and chit chatting, while their backs are turned, all while the lower seniority full time and part staff are forced to do double duty and pick up the slack to do twice the workload.

The most enjoyable part of the job is group involvement in social, charitable events held at Mckesson and celebrating milestones and employee birthdays and also company Christmas party. It is the only other thing more rewarding than a pay check and an iCare award
Pros
Good pay, decent benefits, lots of Charity work. improving work culture
Cons
current work culture and management, few disturbed employees

Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON16 June 2017
low pay, no leadership, so many people missing work weekly sick?

Best part of the job is when you meet with a new coworker just like your self; a trusting shoulder to sometime, well even cry on.

For me the hardest part of this job is watching the full time employee come in late, sleeping, talking on their cell phones-- and so many Placement Company temps just like my self -- coming in early everyday, sometime working through my time lunch at my desk, even staying late ...and all for free.
Pros
Its work, I need the $?
Cons
Don't have big expetations :(

Good company - Fickle management
Analyst (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC16 June 2017
Good Company with good employees.

Managed in silos with little communication. Management is supportive, but doesn't always understand their employees' roles and tasks.

High turnover and short-sighted/fickle upper-management make it a sometimes unstable environment.

QA Specialist (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON9 June 2017
It was nice working in McK, but the company constantly experiencing re-organisation, which caused insecurity of the job. Salary and benefit is competitive in the market. Everyone was nice to work with, however, due to the variety of business they cover, sometimes it is hard to get everyone on the same page.

Worst company for Management
Pharmacy Caseworker (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON16 May 2017
If you have any plans on advancing in this career don't plan on it unless you suck up.
HR doesn't care about their employees especially if any life altering events happen. Be prepared for them to just stare down at you like a piece of garbage.
Pros
Offers a cafeteria with fairly priced food
Cons
Terrible management
