Fun, great co workers, learning experience, very team orientated
Drafting Technician (Former Employee), Charlottetown, PE – October 12, 2012
Pros: hour lunches, paid training, and staff get togethers
Cons: sometimes unrealistic deadlines that fall on you
Typical day of work includes, working with a specific engineer on a specific job, until that job is complete. This was done by making calls to contractors, architects, or businesses to ensure that drawings were to scale, up to date floor plans, ergonomical designs, and most importantly accurate. Management was great and provided a great team experience with daily/weekly meetings relavant to each individual job. Co workers were down to earth and very helpful through the learning process. Hardest part of the job was learning to use AutoCAD efficently and effectivly at a reasonable pace. Most enjoyable part was the sense of accomplishment when finishing a particular set of drawings and documenting them efficently.
