Position Summary: The Night Auditor is a front line professional that ensures a positive overall impression of the property as well as assists with all aspects of guest services. They assist guests in all facets of the hotel experience in an efficient, courteous and professional manner that maintains high standards of service and hospitality. The Night Auditor is also responsible for the safety and security of the property between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:30am and is required to maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains a high level of professionalism in all aspects of job performance
Ensuring that the Guest Services SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are being adhered to
Manage nightly hotel operational activities
Manage same-day room inventory and yield management
Effectively maximizes inventory levels during high occupancy/sold out nights
Verify that revenue from all sources is accurately balanced and stated in the property management system; investigate, correct and follow up on any discrepancies
Produce daily reports for departments and department heads
Produce and distribute the daily Sales and Labor Report within the designated timeline to all department heads
Transmit batch credit reports to credit card processor
Verify accuracy of daily timesheets; enter daily figures for payroll
Complete and verify all banquet postings in a timely manner
Monitor Night Bell and Security activities and report as necessary
Completion of Incident Reports
Scanning and electronic filing of invoices to company intranet
Pre-balance of the Sales and Labour reports
Other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager and/or Hotel Accounting Administrator
Consistently demonstrates a commitment to personal guest service excellence and profitably through special duties as assigned
Knows all emergency procedures and general crisis situation management, including fire and emergency procedures, and Health & Safety standards

Requirements:
Minimum 1 year previous experience in Night Audit operations
Minimum 2 years' previous experience in Front Office operations
University degree or College diploma in Hotel Management an asset
Knowledge of computerized Front Office systems required with emphasis in Opera an asset
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have cash/float handling experience
Must be flexible and willing to change roles or responsibilities as required
Must be able to work shift work, including weekends and holidays
Possess sensational customer service philosophy
Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
