Nespresso Coffee Specialist - Do not apply for it-
BRAND AMBASSADOR (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BC11 September 2017
Worked there for around 2 years. It was great in 2015 when the team lead and team members actually cared about making sales and work together as a team.

Since 2016, the team lead left and new hired team leads (changed countless time through my stay in the company) were forcing their own selling methods and work style on the team. Lack of communication and understanding which drove many well-trained, good ethic staff to leave. New hires are given very poor training and lack the drive to sell machines. Unclear sales goal and no career advancement.

There are better jobs out there that pay same / above for the work they put you through as their brand ambassador. Other company do offer a set schedule and won't randomly cancel your shift last minute.
Pros
good student job

Coordonnateur (Former Employee) –  Mirabel, QC21 August 2017

Fun place to work - always an event going on`
Payroll Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON6 October 2016
This is a very easy going company to work for. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
As it is a marketing company, there are always events happening depending on particular sports events or occasions.
The hardest part about working for this company is the high turnover of staff and having a particular department just understanding their role before all new members start. It feels like an never ending battle.
The most enjoyable part of the job is that as long as your work is complete you are free to complete other work as you see fit. Laid back attitudes for the most part.
Pros
free lunches and lots of birthday cakes
Cons
high turnover of employees

lack of stability
Représentante des ventes (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC25 August 2016
the job was very interesting and quite well payed, however company experiences constant changes in their management team, which brings stress and instability i terms of schedule and job location, since every new manager starts to make changes that lead to the lack of employees satisfaction. Company is not providing employees with the pay stab, so it it impossible to verify the accuracy of pay.
Pros
sales comission
Cons
very bad management

This job gave me so many skills to be independent, as I was an independent contractor. I learned how to sell, communicate, and interact with many clients and customers.

If you're a hard working individual with interest in merchandising and customer service, this will be perfect for you.

If you are looking for part time work, this is a fantastic company to work with!
Work is contract based, and because of this, the work hours are long but short.

Horrible. AVOID!!
Merchandiser (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON18 August 2015
Match Marketing is a terrible place to work at. They make it seem like they need you because they only need you seasonally and once that season ends, they just forget about you like you are nothing. They tell you its a full-time permanent position not a TEMPORARY position. They don't prepare you with anything so you have to get majority of the things for yourself and then they tell you they will reimburse you but after they "carefully" review your expenses, they will tell you that they can't approve of your expenses so you don't get any money back. They take advantage of you and they will tell you that the job is within your area but they end up making you drive all over the place and they also won't reimburse you for any mileage. At first this job seems like it's really great but no they work you like a dog and they expect way too much for you. They provide barely any training and then they send you out by yourself even when you don't know anything and they are not nice about it when you make a mistake.

Decent workplace - little opportunity to advance
Marketing Specialist (Former Employee) –  Waterloo, ON17 March 2015
Enjoyable to place to work at, but difficult to move on. A strictly seasonal gig with no opportunity to stay on, once the ship sails, you get left behind.
Pros
Fun, dynamic environment
Cons
Abrupt end of term
