The Credit Manager will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations associated with the efficient and economical processing of all accounting operational functions related to Accounts Receivable (A/R). They will determine the operational objectives for the Accounts Receivable department, which align with strategic revenue strategies.
The incumbent in this role will be accountable for internal procedures that protect assets and provide the financial controls of the A/R function. Under the general direction of the Director of Finance, they will oversee the complete A/R cycle for all Mold-Masters clients, including reconciliations, collections calls, cash entry, and maintenance of accounts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accountable for administration of client accounts, processing of client billings/claims, follow-up on billing errors and delinquent accounts, and preparation of adjustments;
Accountable for clients receiving invoices and statements at the correct times to ensure payments are not delayed;
Oversee and approve all terms with regard to payment;
Prepare and analyze monthly the global AR summary collection;
Set appropriate credit limits in order to manage risk in accordance with company parameters;
Define and apply Accounts Receivable (A/R) policies and procedures consistent with legislated requirements and regulations;
Field and address external and internal inquiries and facilitate the resolution of problems as they arise;
Manage global credit insurance policy;
Provide A/R system training to new and existing employees and provide ongoing user support;
Prepare reconciliation of A/R and related accounts to the general ledger;
Maintain financial security by strict adherence to internal accounting controls;
Evaluate employee performance for completion of Performance Reviews;
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, including demonstrated leadership. The incumbent of this role must have a College diploma or University degree in Business/Accounting/Finance with a minimum of four (4) years of accounting experience in, and/or an equivalent of education and experience. In addition, one (1) year of experience in a leadership role is required.
A strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent organizational skills are required. The incumbent of this role is preferably enrolled in a professional program (FCI); advanced knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word; knowledge of accounting principles, government legislation and tax regulations; have applied knowledge of SAP (or related ERP). The ability to write routine reports and to communicate effectively with employees, external vendors and management, is a requirement.
