Martin Deerline in Mayerthorpe, AB is looking to add an experienced Service Manager to manage our John Deere Service department.
Some Job Duties:
Develops and maintains effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Creates annual Service Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
Work with the aftermarket management team to coordinate customer clinics, field days and related, promotional events. Identifies and develops new customer and business opportunities to achieve department growth.
Assures timely completion and submission of all service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit.
Analyze the needs of the department and develop a long term continuous plan to ensure that we have the necessary personnel to meet the needs of the department. Recruits, hires, develop and retain key talent to meet these needs.
Maintains all department tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Service department operations in a similar role;
Solid understanding of the Agricultural industry and John Deere equipment;
Strong computer skills and good understanding of creating and understanding internal reports;
Excellent mechanical aptitude;
Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group;
Excellent negotiation/conflict resolution skills;
Familiar with John Deere and competitive products with a strong knowledge of agriculture;
Ability to work flexible hours & weekends.
