Roles and responsibilities:

  • Creating product and functional specifications for new product features
  • Maintaining version control and third party interoperability testing and roadmap
  • Investigative technical analysis of third party products
  • Assist with defining new Product Requirements
  • Assist with quality assurance testing
  • Ensure quality assurance coverage is aligned with product requirements
  • Plan product integration efforts with external partners
  • Create feature specifications and product requirements documents
  • Provide content for and perform detailed reviews of product documentation
  • Ensure feature content and prioritization are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide weekly status reports and quarterly reviews to Senior Management
  • Recommend tactical initiatives to achieve objectives
  • Review software enhancement requests and create detailed specifications
  • Ensure customer requirements and feature requests are clearly communicated to R&D
  • Review all external feature requests to ensure they are clearly understood and defined
  • Analyze potential partner relationships and third party collaboration opportunities
  • Ensure product conforms to industry standards where applicable
  • Assist in creating performance and usability test cases
  • Participate in product verification testing of new features
  • Act as subject matter expert for customers, partners and internally
  • Translate customer feedback into tangible product improvements
  • Assist with product features guides, training aids and release notes

Skill set:

  • 10+ years of telecom experience with SIP and VoIP infrastructure
  • 10+ years of telecom experience in a service provider environment
  • Technical Experience as System Integrations and Deployment Engineer
  • Strong communication and technical skills, preferably within telecom industry
  • Experienced in launching new products and services
  • Solid understanding of hardware platforms, software, operating systems and APIs
  • Supplier, OEM, Partner and Customer relationships
  • Knowledge of Linux, Virtual Environments, and open source development tools
  • Proven experience with system integrators and channels is considered an asset
  • Project management skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Effective interpersonal skills and function as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
