The first Mark's Work Warehouse store opened August 14, 1977 in Calgary, AB as an industrial accessories retailer. With early success, the company expanded rapidly going public in 1981. Mark's Work Warehouse was purchased by Canadian Tire Corporation for $116 million in 2002.
Over the last 39 years, the company has grown into the number one men's casual and industrial apparel and footwear retailer in Canada. Rebranding as Mark's in 2012, the company now operates 380 stores across the country featuring a full range of men's and women's casual and industrial apparel, footwear and outerwear.
Mark's is proud to support Canadian Tire Jumpstart as its charity of choice. Jumpstart is a registered national charity helping kids across Canada with financial barriers take part in organized sport and activity. Since its inception in 2005, Jumpstart has helped over 1 million kids get in the game.
Mark's is also proud to work alongside Canadian Tire Corporation in supporting the Power of Sport and is a partner of the Canadian Football League.
