Sustainability Program & Content Developer

The objective of this role is to support the Sustainability & Communications Global Lead in daily activities including supporting the development of the Marcatus QED Responsible Farming program which targets to improve the sustainability of over 20,000 smallholder farming families in South India.

Responsibilities include:

Research crop status from multiple sourcing regions and develop timely crop updates

Participate as a creative member of the ‘Responsible Farming’ team, participate in weekly global team calls, develop solutions and support global timely execution

Support sustainability partnership development with key stakeholders including suppliers and client through strategic communications

Contribute to the development of education and training materials for suppliers, international agri-teams and smallholder farmers; deploy an empathic voice using universal design principles to reach unique global communities

Contribute to the develop of new partnerships, manage current partnerships focused on climate change adaptation and sustainability with industry, academia, and government to improve and/or expand sustainability initiatives with international private and public partners

Review current and alternative technologies and company procedures and assess their environmental and economic impact for the company i.e. New equipment investment analyses

In collaboration with local teams, contribute to developing new and innovative methods to collect data and report on metrics such as water use, soil erosion, waste production, crop climate resistance i.e. drought tolerance, frequency of chemical and fertilizer use, and household socio-economic indicators.

Develop creative content and communications to promote program to partners and public; leverage Responsible Farming metrics and special programs
