Machine Operator (Former Employee) – Hannon, ON – 7 October 2017
The new Hamilton facility looks nice, but machines hardly ever work due to lack of proper maintenance. Management is terrible, its run by kids that have no idea how to actually do anything. Anyone with any real experience they do manage to hire leaves for better jobs. The union is weak inside the plant since people there only care about themselves. It's a poor choice for a job if you want to have any life outside of work, they expect you to work 50+ hours a week or face discipline for not doing so. So if you value your sanity and life steer clear of this prison like facility.
Quality Assurance Technician (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 3 October 2017
It is an an excellent company which gave me an opportunity to volunteer as laboratory technician and taught me several workplace skills. I have worked there from 9 am to 3 30 pm (Monday to friday) from june to oct 2016. I have learnt performing different analytic experiments according to the SOPs. The company has a friendly environment and they know how to meet the deadlines.
Plumber/GasFitter (Former Employee) – Brandon, MB – 19 September 2017
I worked as a plumber/gas fitter in the maintenance department. A typical day would be waiting for the supervisor to print out work order to fix a leak, unplug a drain, or trouble shoot a piece of equipment. There was lots of down time when no equipment was down or other issues, but things can and did break very often.
Management is a disaster, supervisors did not communicate well with each other between shifts. Lots of times they did not even know who was on vacation, what work was needed to be done or what parts were ordered. There was little to no planning for jobs, lots of times no parts were ordered or the wrong parts were brought in so jobs were continuously being half assed with what was available.
If you apply for a day shift position they will not tell you that the position is actually filled through seniority. You will think you have been offered the Mon-Fri shift only to find out they are putting you on straight night shift, or weekend shift. BEWARE OF THIS!
The workplace culture is a game of hide and seek. Most employees are not great trades people and hardly know enough to pass their trades exam. Its everyone for themselves. The supervisors know who works hard and will load those employees up with work, while the lazy employees are left to hide and look at their phones. No incentive to work hard, or do a good job. Most work is done in a hurried half assed way.
The pay is great for what is required, the benefits are not so great and usually a complete hassle to get dental, medical, or prescriptions filled.
Robot Operator (Current Employee) – Hannon, ON – 15 September 2017
This is by far and away the worst job I have ever had. While the pay lip service to health and safety they have no consideration for the safety of their employees. A company operating various shifts with an approx total of 1000 employees who has burnt through 6000 in 3 years is proof enough of the way the company is run and the total lack of respect for it's employees. Just glad to be out of there. It is the closest thing to a sweat shop in Canada.
No Safety measures that matter, Shifts, Management at Team Lead level.
Reach Truck Operator (Former Employee) – Puslinch, ON – 13 September 2017
Good hours, wprking 12 hour shifts 3 days a week (Saturday, Sunday, Monday.) Ok pay, but NO opportunity for raises and that was a major concern. Good benefits. Poor management and cold storage environment.

come to work, change into company garments, punch in then go to your department. work roughly two hours between breaks. breaks were too short, jobs were physically demanding and the work was repetetive and cold.
Management is mostly indifferent. Job rotation was not always done regularly or fairly.
Many cultures working closely together. sometimes positive, sometimes challenging. Learning new job skills on a moving line was difficult and stressful
Hardest part of the job is the cold, standing and repetition.

Poor management no respect for workers, no fix hours limited hours in winter. Lot of time i was scheduled but supervisor sent me home due to no work. Hardly made 900$/month not good for long time job. No future no scope of good living.
No hours, no value of employees. Poor supervision.
