I worked as a part time employee at Maple Leaf Consumer Foods. It's an eight hour , five days work. It's a production work and I was assigned in central packaging dept. - packing of hams the finished product. It's a fast paced environment. My co workers are supportive eventhough they knew that i was only new in the company. The hardest part was carrying and packing about 10 lbs of ham everyday in the rotation procedure.

If not in a management position Maple Leaf is a very difficult place to work. Expectations are high while appreciation from management is low. Bonus' program is only offered to management level and higher.
Manager (Current Employee) – Hamilton, ON – 11 February 2018
There is a drive to produce at all costs. There is a culture to find someone to blame with no desire to fix the underlying issues. Staffing is always an issue and mechanical breakdowns occurs all the time.
