The Manotick Medical Centre is currently seeking for potential candidates to fill two Medical Office Assistant (MOA) roles. One is full-time day and the other is part-time evening/weekends. The MOA position is key to the smooth and efficient operation of the centre and is responsible for providing a professional and a positive impact when greeting patients and visitors and to ensure that the patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently with effective use of customer service, organizational and administrative skills.

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
Community college diploma or certificate in Business Administration/Medical Secretarial Arts or equivalent working experience;
Ability to maintain patient and centre confidentiality.

The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:
Positive attitude, pleasant and professional manner in person and over the phone;
Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member to achieve desired results;
Excellent customer service and exceptional verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills;
Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills;
Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations in a calm manner;
Ability to produce high quality in accordance with centre standards;
Demonstrated ability to complete general administrative duties as required;
Must be able to handle work volume fluctuations;
Strong applied knowledge in computer applications;
1-2 years of experience in a medical setting is an asset;
Knowledge of clinical procedures an asset;
Knowledge of EMRs is an asset.
