A typical day at work consisted of warming up my truck, checking it over, driving to and from designated locations within Calgary and Alberta and loading or unloading trailers. Customer relations, making safety decisions, sometimes unload my own trailer with forklifts, deal with dispatchers and managers, being courteous at all times.
I got along well with all my co-workers, they were good people.
The hardest part of the job was working outside in the winter and extremely long hours, up to 16 hours a day sometimes. But I enjoyed it.
The parts I enjoyed the most was interaction with people, and driving and being good at my job.
