We are currently looking to expand our team of professionals:
As a Project Manager for both the Burlington Land and Site Development Divisions, you will be responsible for the planning, executing and delivery of a high quality completed project, ensuring the project is within budget and on schedule while managing the clients’ expectations. You will be responsible for procuring new projects and clients by identifying business development opportunities, understanding industry and development in the Greater Golden Horseshoe, leading proposal efforts including completing project scoping and RFP assessments. You will expedite projects from inception through the preliminary, final, construction, and maintenance stages. You will ensure timely and accurate invoicing, setting and managing project budgets, monitoring receivables and the overall financial health of the project. You will manage day-to-day client interactions, communicate effectively with clients and internal/external project teams, and continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction that are geared towards developing lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing project financials including invoicing, progress payment certificates, collecting accounts receivables and managing project budgets.
  • Managing project execution by providing direction to coworkers, appropriately scheduling time and acting as main point of contact between internal and external project teams.
  • Proposal preparation and participating in business development activities.
  • Communication with clients, as well as internal and external project teams

  • Attendance at project meetings

The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering Technology and hold a P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation, combined with a minimum of eight years of relevant work experience. Understanding of civil engineering practices combined with an excellent understanding of applicable regulations, standards and legislation related to Land and Site Development projects is required. Excellent attention to detail and sound independent judgment and decision making skills is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, staff, and clients, and a “team player” approach to problem solving is required.
