We are looking for a college or university graduate who is confident with computers and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail. Hands-on work experience using computers with spreadsheets and databases is required. Some familiarity with computer programming or testing concepts would be an asset, though not essential. Excellent language skills (good spelling and grammar) are a must. This position best suits a quiet, careful person who finds satisfaction in repetitive procedural tasks that must be carried out accurately.
The main responsibility of this role consists of doing daily updates to databases and information listings (copying, pasting, sorting, text reformatting, etc.). You may also be assisting with other tasks such as running testing procedures to see if our information query tools work correctly.
We would like someone who has spent 3+ years in the workforce after graduation, has had one or two jobs and is now looking for a more stable, better organized, less stressful working environment with regular hours and predictable, clearly defined responsibilities.
Please note that this is not a temporary or short-term position due to the amount of training involved. It is not a full-time programming or software testing position.
